Global Hires Renee Gowdy as New Construction Estimator

Renee Gowdy has joined Global’s team as Lead Estimator for the Marine Construction Division. In this position,she will be responsible for developing estimates and proposal production for Federal,State,Local and civil customers as well as other key markets. Renee joins the department with an extensive educational and professional background in the estimating and pre-construction development process.

“Renee’s addition to the Marine Construction Division not only strengthens our abilities to estimate work within the division,but will also allow us to expand business development and customer services in this dynamic market” says Mike Langen,Manager of the Marine Construction Division.

Global’s 4th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament

Congratulations to Fishing Vessel Owners Marine Ways,Inc. for winning Global’s 4th Annual Golf Tournament and to all of those that contributed to this year’s event benefiting Seattle Children’s Hospital. This year’s tournament raised $50,000 for Team Seattle and their goal to fully fund a Hybrid Surgery Unit for the Cardiac Center.

Global Participates in Seattle Maritime Festival

Global Diving & Salvage was proud to participate in this years Maritime Festival. This years participation included the first entry of Global in the Survival Suit Races as well as our yearly participation in the races with the M/V Prudhoe Bay.

Global Opens a New Office in Richmond, CA

Global Diving & Salvage,Inc is pleased to anounce the opening an office in Richmond,CA. This new location will increase our presence and expand our services into the San Francisco Bay Area. The new Richmond office will be working hand in hand with our Rio Vista office to ensure that our standards of excellence in performance,safety,and customer service are delivered above expectations to existing and new clientele. The office will be headed by Kyle Watson.

Kyle Watson,CMA Class of ’99,has been with Global,in the Seattle office for seven years. He currently holds a USCG 3rd Mate’s unlimited license,40hr HAZWOPER certificate,and ICS 400 level certification. Kyle’s experience includes serving as an Officer in the USCG Reserve as well as working on and supervising a wide variety of preventative environmental services including; oil spill and casualty response,vessel salvage,derelict vessel removal,demolition,marine fendering,and other marine services.

Career Day provides a unique opportunity to take a glimpse into the working world of trade,transportation,fisheries,government and career training. Representatives of these sectors will be present to offer information and insight into the growing and varied maritime job market,one of the largest and often least understood employment sectors in Washington State.
